SmartDrive PROMise – Information for Schools
School Year 2017-2018

All High School programs recognized by your state Department of Education are eligible to participate in SmartDrive PROMise programs.   All grades 9-12 may make the SmartDrive PROMise online through this webpage –

Upon request, the SmartDrive Foundation will provide business card sized “PROMise Cards” for distribution to all 9-12 grade students. Click here to see an oversized example of the PROMise card.

SmartDrive suggests that a single SmartDrive PROMise day be scheduled – with PROMise Cards distributed to all students on that day.  In schools where use of personal electronic devices is prohibited during the school day, students should be urged to make their SmartDrive PROMise immediately following the end of the school day.

SmartDrive will collect the following information from each student:

•  Student First Name, Student Last Name
•  Student’s Email
•  Parent/Guardian First Name, Parent/Guardian Last Name
•  Parent/Guardian Email or Mobile Telephone Number

SmartDrive collects this information securely in compliance with our Privacy Policy. Parent contact information is required for all students.  Parents will be notified by email or text message when their student makes the SmartDrive PROMise.

Students can make the SmartDrive PROMise through May 31, 2018.

In the 2017-2018 school year, all students who make the SmartDrive PROMise will receive a Texas Roadhouse® Reward in the form of a coupon for a FREE Appetizer sent to the student’s parent via email.

In the 2017-2018 school year, high schools may participate in the SmartDrive PROMise student participation challenge.  The schools will complete for a cash award of $500.00 to be used for PROM activities.  Participating schools must have an Administrator provide their 9-12 enrollment to SmartDrive by email to in order to qualify.

In the 2017-2018 school year, there will be a total of six (6) $500.00 prizes awarded based on the following qualifications:

Three regions – New Castle County, DE;  Kent and Sussex Counties, DE; Eastern Shore counties in Maryland and Suburban Southeastern Pennsylvania counties outside of Philadelphia.

Two awards will be made within each region – one for a school with a 9-12 enrollment of less than 800 students; a second for a school with an enrollment of 800 or more students.

In order to be eligible for prize consideration, a minimum of 25% of the 9-12 student population of the school (unduplicated entries) make the SmartDrive PROMise prior to the challenge deadline.

A student organization within a Participating High School can also qualify for a cash award of $200.00 should their school be a $500.oo prize winner.

The student organization must gain approval from the school administration to lead the SmartDrive PROMise campaign.  The school administrators must inform SmartDrive that they have approved the student organization to lead the PROMise campaign in that school, and provide SmartDrive with contact information for the orgainzations faculty/staff advisor(s).
