The 2021-2022 Essay Topic will be posted in March 2022.

Students who have received their Course Completion Certificates
AND whose Parents have completed The Parent Lesson are eligible to submit an Essay.

Essays must be submitted not later than 11:59 PM on APRIL 30, 2022.
Each student will be given the same essay topic.

Please work on your essay offline, and then copy and paste your finished document into the response area in this section of SmartDrive Classic.

The essay must be between 250 and 500 words, and may we suggest using a classic format for compositions like the five-paragraph essay. It is not the only format for writing an essay, of course, but it is a useful model for you to keep in mind, especially as you begin to develop your skills.  For more information on the five-paragraph essay model – visit this webpage.

The content of your essay will be the largest part of your score.

  • Submitted essays will not be scored online.
  • Do not submit duplicate or multiple essays.  Only the first submission will be accepted.
